New Fremont Peak VHF Frequency and PIM problems on UHF?

We are back for another round of trying to find a frequency pair for the VHF system at Fremont Peak. Unfortunately, finding a 600KHz pair has proven to be a challenge nearly impossible. I am still hope full that one day we will find a ham group that is willing to co-channel with us on a frequency pair. In the interim SVRG will move forward with an ‘ODD SPLIT’ for this site.

Users have been reporting (since July) poor RX performance once again on the UHF Fremont Peak system, our old friend PIM has come back to haunt us again. The crew spent most of Sunday working to locate the sources to help reduce the problem. This effort has improved our effective sensitivity on the UHF system to almost back to normal levels. We will be monitoring to see how that changes over the next few months with the rain.
Anritsu has a nice write up about PIM and the causes of it on their website linked below.

Presson! New site more coverage!

Yesterday was the launch of our latest repeater site! It is perched in the Santa Cruz Mountains at an elevation of 3375ft with views of the Monterey Bay to the south and San Francisco and Oakland to the north. This system will further extend our coverage around the bay area.
Frequency is 443.025 + PL 110.9Hz
